Acceleration Actions by all Stakeholders

The SDG Summit in September 2023 provided an opportunity to secure the breakthroughs and momentum needed to change course and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Despite the setbacks and reversals in progress to date, the transformation envisioned by the 2030 Agenda remains both possible and essential. But this requires a surge of commitment from all stakeholders from across all sectors. With this in mind, stakeholders were invited to register their commitments to SDG acceleration as a contribution to the SDG Summit.

In keeping with the call for a "Rescue Plan for People and Planet," Acceleration Actions submitted as a contribution to the SDG Summit comprised initiatives, actions, policies and commitments aimed at accelerating progress aimed at speeding progress towards one or multiple SDGs. Stakeholders were encouraged to focus initiatives, actions and commitments on realizing key development transitions and strengthening and securing much-needed means of implementation.
