#SDGAction43307
Description
In that sense, based on previous national consultation processes and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and after an extensive process of dialogue and consultation throughout the country, on April 29, 2019, the Country Vision to 2050 was approved by consensus in the Forum of the National Accord . The Vision is the basis for the formulation of the National Development Strategic Plan by 2050, which should guide the harmonious, sustainable and decentralized development of the country, in a consistent manner over time, transcending the changes of government. This plan is the main management instrument for the national implementation of the 2030 Agenda, its objectives and goals.
This voluntary acceleration action is then focused on achieving the implementation of the aspiration for well-being and development that the Country Vision and the 2030 Agenda propose, through coordinated policies and plans. The first milestone is to have National Development Goals, broadly agreed upon and on which the second milestone is structured, the National Development Strategic Plan. Finally, it is expected to conclude with the update of subnational policies and plans until July 2021.
The National Development Strategic Plan (PEDN) is the main management instrument for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, its objectives and goals, so that the country can define its specific contribution to achieve the Agenda from its national objectives, specific objectives and strategic actions. On the other hand, the PEDN guides the formulation and updating of policies and plans at all levels (national, subnational and local). In this way, the 2030 Agenda is proactively integrated into our national planning instruments, policies, strategies and financial frameworks.
It’s important to point out that the Forum of the National Accord is composed of the government at its three levels, political parties with a presence in Congress and civil society organizations of national scope, which represent major groups (such as business and industry, workers and trade unions, non-governmental organizations, indigenous people, women, children and youth, scientific and technological community). Moreover, at the subnational levels, there is also public-private cooperation through Coordination Committees, which are stablished by law and have competence in these affairs.
