Description
On the 5th anniversary of the SDGs, Wallonia launched a call for organisations interested in an SDG coaching. About thirty organisations were selected by a jury. The type of beneficiaries ranges from municipalities, provinces, public agencies, to businesses and associations. This initiative was launched because the contribution of all actors is needed to achieve the 2030 Agenda ambition.

The selected organisations have committed to put time and effort to follow-up on the advice of their coach. The budget of the public procurement covering the work of the coaches is of 170.000 € including VAT.
This call created further awareness on SDGs, not only when the call was launched, but also through the communication the selected organisations will foresee. The publication of their SDG roadmap by the end of the year will also show how SDGs can concretely be tied to the organisation’s strategy.
The budget enabled the coaching. A strong commitment of the selected organisations is needed, with the managing directors fully in favor of allocating time to the process and adopting the SDG roadmap down the road. The methodological sessions organised between the selected coaches also enable the exchange of tools and experiences in order to enrich the practices of each coach in a perspective of continuous improvement and innovation among peers.
During the implementation and when evaluating, attention will be paid to success factors and other elements. A new edition of the call might be envisaged.
Not yet.
Covid puts constraints on the process which has to be virtual, at least for the beginning.
