Description
OPR Eyewear is a young and ambitious eyewear brand committed to manufacturing 100% Italian hand-crafted frames utilizing the finest quality acetate. Everything at OPR is done through the lens of sustainability to promote a concept of fashion that goes beyond the product and embraces values such as diversity, inclusion, and human empowerment through meaningful partnership aimed at fostering a community of value driven businesses.
OPR Eyewear commitment to sustainability is multifaceted: every pair is hand-crafted from sustainable, biodegradable and non-toxic materials; our products are produced using only the finest quality raw materials, indeed our plant-based cellulose acetate is made from natural cotton and wooden fibers; our packaging is reduced, recycled and reusable; our local artisan workshops in Italy use solar panels for sustainable renewable energy and minimal emissions; our eyewear crafting process is especially sustainable since every pair is crafted by hand using only the material it needs, in small batches; to reduce water wastage our workshops measure and monitor water usage and use recycled water for their craft. Our creative process is defined by a gender neutral and inclusive approach, to ensure that every human being can be part of the OPR world.
OPR partnerships are a key component of our mission, and they are geared to make a difference in the world by supporting activities and program that, among other things, reduce inequalities, promote quality education and good health. In that regard, OPR works closely with the charity Restoring Vision to help provide much needed vision care and eye education to impoverished communities around the world. We are also part of the CarbonClick climate action movement, reducing the environmental impact of our e-commerce. Furthermore, OPR partnered with a renowned painter, Jumper Maybach, to create a limited-edition eyewear collection, driven by a common mission to end hate, bullying and intolerance in the world through art and fashion. A portion of the proceeds from the collection will be donated to charities that support those values and principles.
