Urban Agenda of Catalonia
(
Local / Regional Government
)
#SDGAction43253
Description
For the implementation of the Urban Agenda of Catalonia, the involvement of all administrations, citizens and economic sectors will be necessary, so that they work together in order to face the challenges that we have as a country and also the challenges of the humanity.
Consequently, the elaboration of the Urban Agenda in Catalonia must be an integrative, coordinated and cohesive process, which demands the contribution of all areas and all spheres. What is sought with the participatory process is to foster a strategic debate that serves to specify different public policies.
The impact is expected to, firstly, be refelcted in the ellaboration of a Catalan Urban Agenda political committment, in where all the conclusions gathered along the participatory processes are consolidated and consensuated among its participants.
Afterwards, these conclusions are to be submitted to the Catalan Urban Agenda Assembly, which is the organism engaging all territorial entities (regional government, local authorities, municipalities, etc) and which will assume and foster the political commitment, which will be developed in a Regional Law, to be approved by the Regional Parliament, and which will establish, as a mandatory objective, all the targets settled at the 2030 Agenda, and also will determine the resources and means to be committed in order to achieve those targets.
