Natural Resources Forum, a United Nations Sustainable Development Journal volume 38, issue 1 is a Special issue on small island developing States. It includes articles on: migration from atolls as climate change adaptation; power sector reform as an opportunity to increase the uptake of renewable energy in the power sector; cultural and socio-economic determinants of energy consumption on small remote islands; sustainable tourism, climate change and sea level rise adaptation policies in Barbados; sustainably managing natural resources in Pacific island countries; and deploying system dynamics modeling as an integrated policy tool.
