    Description
    Description

Uni-ke is a platform with an extensive technology backend that connects brands with manufacturers and "digital manufacturers," allowing companies the option to use digital sample making and operate on a made-to-order, small batch, and pre-order systems. It was conceptualized in 2017 and subsequently developed into a web-accessible platform throughout 2021 by the co-founding team.

    Implementation of the Project/Activity

From the technical perspective, Uni-ke's infrastructure allows direct connection between different types of members in the emerging fashion industry, as explained in the description. This in turn leads to a reduction in overproduction, empowers diverse industry players, and increases economic autonomy for even the smallest of manufacturing studios.
From the social perspective, Uni-ke has partnered with other organizations and brands to host classes and events, including guiding first-time designers from start all the way to their first fashion week presentation.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

We participate in speaking engagements and host periods of capacity building by brand cohorts and manufacturer cohorts. Events include those in partnership with Art Basel, Dcentral, NFT NYC, Sazon (Latino community engagement), and private corporations.

    Coordination mechanisms

The co-founding team members Christian Cruz Godoy and Zino Haro organize partnerships and develop the platform based on need and periodic feedback.
