Description
Water: One tee shirt takes an average 700 gallons of water to produce and another 700 gallons of water to wash it in its lifetime. The textile industry uses 26.4 trillion gallons of water every year. For each kilogram of fabric, Queen of Raw measures the gallons of water saved by not creating new fabrics and keeping deadstock in circulation.\r\n\r\nChemicals: Dangerous chemicals are used throughout textile production. Fabric preparation, dyeing, and finishing pollute vast amounts of water, increasing the need for costly water treatment. Queen of Raw measures the pounds of chemicals saved by recirculating these textiles as opposed to making new.\r\n\r\nCarbon Emissions: Fashion is responsible for 10% of annual global carbon emissions. Most of the emissions come from fabric production and could be reduced by more sustainable operations. Queen of Raw measure the tons of C02 saved equivalent to what would have been emitted had your fabric been newly produced.\r\n\r\nWaste: Of the total fiber input used for clothing, 87% is incinerated or disposed of in landfills. The World Economic Forum estimated there could be materials saving of over $1 trillion just from material reuse, recycling, and upcycling. Queen of Raw identifies the tons of waste saved from landfills and the dollars saved by fabric bought and sold. \r\n\r\nGo Raw!

And we verify data records and workflow using blockchain.\r\n\r\nThrough our integrated software, a brand or retailer gets a customized supply chain management system that’s designed to expose excess yardage and waste (water, chemicals, dollars) as they occur in real time. \r\n\r\nThe idea is that the brand can see why its waste is happening -- for example, a mill throwing out material because of a designer making changes too late. \r\n Queen of Raw's data can then help the company become more efficient going forward -- and be rewarded financially for taking action. As soon as the brand gets an alert of surplus fabric, even finished clothes, it can sell the excess immediately on Queen of Raw, without racking up storage fees. Everyone wins.
Queen of Raw’s vision is a world without waste.
