Participate in the Global online stakeholder consultation (Deadline: 7 July 2023, 5 pm EDT)

The Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) will be convened in 2024 in Antigua and Barbuda. The Conference will review the progress of SIDS towards achieving their sustainable development priorities, will identify new opportunities for achieving these priorities and renew the political commitment of the international community to effectively address the special needs of small island developing states.

To create a space for stakeholders to engage with the substantive preparations for the conference, UN DESA, in collaboration with OHRLLS, is organizing a global online stakeholder consultation to solicit inputs on key challenges, policy recommendations and examples of game-changing actions and innovative partnerships that are strengthening the resilience of SIDS and accelerating progress towards the implementation of SIDS’ sustainable development priorities and the Samoa Pathway.

The results of the consultation will be made broadly available on the Conference website. Region-specific ‘key messages papers’ based on the answers received will be made available prior to regional preparatory meetings and a longer summary will be shared prior to the inter-regional preparatory meeting, all organized in the third quarter of 2023.

All interested civil society organizations, major groups and other stakeholders are invited to participate in the survey here: https://bit.ly/SIDS4OnlineSurvey.

The deadline for submissions is at 5 pm (EDT) on 7 July 2023.
