Description
Myuse is a fashion assistant, travel companion, and style diary. The platform empowers users to express our personal style, make the most of what's already in our real-world closets, and make mindful fashion purchases. Part of Myuse's mission and integrated within its design are functionalities enabling users to maximize our closets, while minimizing our carbon footprint by wearing our clothes and packing efficiently for trips.
Myuse is committed to transforming the fashion experience into a form of personal empowerment, affirmative social action, and positive environmental impact.
Myuse's initiative will be carried out through a mobile application. While the initial launch will be in the UK, the mobile application will be available on the app store and can be downloaded by anyone, anywhere in the world.
Data documented on Myuse will be readily accessible to users through their individual profiles on the mobile application. Upon login, users will be able to easily navigate through their profiles and the information available. Official partners may also access aggregated data through specific programs to be launched and announced by Myuse at the appropriate time.
The technology behind Myuse will automatically document when users rewear clothes and users' packing habits, upon their input. Users will have access to guides and recommendations to engage in conscious fashion and lifestyle efforts. Together with partners, Myuse will also be implementing strategies and programs to raise awareness, reinforce, and encourage slow fashion practices.
The project will be assessed based on the estimated carbon emissions saved from the rewearing of clothes and from the reduced instances of over-packing. User engagement and the use of guides and recommendations provided by Myuse will also be evaluated.
