Interregional Training Workshop: Strengthening Capacity for Evidence-Based Social Protection Policies in Response to the Triple Global Crisis – Fuel, Food, and Finance

The workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of social protection systems across selected African and Asia-Pacific countries to better identify and support those most at risk of being left behind. Through hands-on training with practical tools, policymakers will enhance their ability to design inclusive, data-driven, and crisis-responsive policies.
Hosted by the Government of Zambia and co-organized by UN DESA, ECA, and ESCAP, the workshop brings together over 70 participants from Namibia, Senegal, Tanzania, Zambia, Cambodia, the Maldives, and other countries, along with UN agencies and civil society partners.

Who Will Participate

This interregional exchange promotes cross-country learning and contributes to building resilient and sustainable social protection systems. Outputs will inform the Second World Summit for Social Development (Doha, November 2025)—advancing global efforts to leave no one behind.
