Description

The main objective of introducing 'Life and Learning' in School education is to equip students to deal with the future challenges and make them morally strong so that they may become a patriot citizen. The curriculum of Life and Learning has been designed by using concept based learning approach.The motive behind choosing this approach is to prepare students for the challenges of 21st century and encourage them to think at a higher level to understand what they are learning and for what purpose. After all, the 21st century needs students who can think conceptually.

Expected Impact

With the support of The Knowledge School Network, Sitara Hilal Foundation and University of Management and Technology, we aim to encourage other schools of Pakistan (Private) to collaborate with us to promote quality education in Pakistan and to advance life skills education. <br />
Currently, we are also working on proposal on including the curriculum of 'life and Learning' in school education of Pakistan; which will be submitted to the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training for approval.

Capacity

School is a place where you can mold young minds into future leaders by giving learning opportunity which is not confined to classroom. School is a place where teacher can cultivate curiosity, nurture creativity and engage the mind of the learners by using innovative approaches.The purpose of Life and Learning course is to provide teachers with a conceptual framework, sample activities and supporting materials to help facilitate classroom learning associated with their students’ personal development, career development and lifelong learning skills. By introducing Life and Learning at National level, we aim to cater the diverse learning needs of students as well as broad national goals of cultural development. To train and develop the capacity building of teachers, we aim to provide consultancy and training regarding the curriculum of ‘Life and Learning, so that they may be able to deliver the lectures and knowledge effectively. <br />
The success of the curriculum, however, depends mainly on effective teaching. The teacher has the choice to adopt teaching methodology catering to a diverse group of students in a class. Teachers may choose the most relevant aspects of the content to meet the particular needs of individual students. Examples provided with the content points are suggested strategies only.

Governed

Being a trainer and curriculum designer of 'Life and Learning', I offer private schools to adopt this course in their school curriculum. The Knowledge school network has already adopted this course and implemented this course in its all school across Pakistan. I offer free training to The Knowledge school network and give consultancy regarding 'Life and Learning' whenever required.
