Description
ShuangTi, the Smart Dining Brand of Shenzhen KuaiPin company, focuses on providing smart & intelligent solutions for university & college dining & take-out scenarios. We started the practice on Dec 18th 2017 and invested over 40mil RMB up to now, which delivered 25mil take-out foods. We developed our own “ShuangTi Online Ordering & Offline Delivery Solution”(for Hygiene), an internet-based transaction platform, consisting of “ShuangTi Smart Order Platform” & “ShuangTi Self-pickup Cabinets” by investing 4.4mil & 1.14mil RMB. “ShuangTi” practice also includes “ShuangTi Recycled Meal-box Project” (for Green) & “School CEO & Delivery Employment Program” (for Community).
We started “ShuangTi” on Dec 18th 2017. It took around 2-2.5year to develop & improve “ShuangTi Smart Order Platform” & “ShuangTi Self-pickup Cabinets” (for Hygiene). The 1st trial of implementing our system & cabinets was in ShenZhen University in March 2018. Within a month, we initiated a book-charity donation program via our system. Then we cooperated with the school & the student union to provide part-time work-study vacancies to poor students. As we expand our operation, we realized the one-time food take-out packages brings about white pollution, we then developed “ShuangTi Recycled Meal-box Project”. The 1st trial gets implemented in Southern Medical University in May 2020, using 15150 ShuangTi Recycled Meal Boxes with 1/4penetration % within 3months. According to the trial data, 10 ton/year white pollution could be avoided for one university. It hires 50 part-time operation staff (47 students & 3 delivery riders) and creates 47 work-study & 10 daily delivery-job vacancies. Our ShuangTi Recycled Meal-box uses PP(Polypropylene K8003) heat insulation materials with SGS certificate recognized by EU & meeting China GB4806-2016 food-level material standards. It has in-placed chips supporting RFID ultrahigh frequency identification & blockchain technology to ensure unforgeability & traceability. Up to now, we invested 43,687,150 RMB and have 41 full-time employees. In those 32 universities & colleges with ShuangTi, there are 1000 operation staff (915 students & 85 delivery riders) and create 915 work-study chances & 170 daily job vacancies. We plan to continue our expansion to more universities and update our solutions by providing more value-added services.
The results are:1)For Hygiene: covering 12provinces/19cities/32universities/570k students. ShuangTi served 500k students, via 8.82mil orders/25mil take-out deliveries by far. In 2021, we’ll cover 25cities/70universities/700k students and serv 560k students via placing 2100 cabinets/17mil orders/35mil take-out deliveries. 2)For Green: covering 1city/1university/5.8k students. It served 5523 students, via over 60k recycled meal box orders by Feb 28th 2021. According to the trial data, 10 ton/year white pollution could be avoided for one university. It hires 50 part-time staff (47 students & 3 delivery riders) and creates 47 work-study & 10 daily delivery-job vacancies. In 2021, we plan to expand to 3cities/5unversities/covering 50k & serving 40k students via placing 150 cabinets/1.25mil orders. If we could implement it to 500 universities in the future, it could reduce the white pollution created by 270mil annual take-out orders, with estimated 75mil RMB/year investment to replace the 5000-ton annual white plastic pollution. 3)For Community: In those 32 universities & colleges with ShuangTi operation, there are 1000 part-time operation staff (915 students & 85 delivery riders) and create 915 work-study chances & 170 daily job vacancies. In 2021, there will be 7k part-time operation staff (6680 students & 420 delivery riders) and create 6680 work-study chances & 1400 daily job vacancies.
Our ShuangTi practice itself is an innovation. We are the leader in the industry and the first company who initiated this business model in China. “ShuangTi” obtained over 10 inventions and utility model patent & copyright certificates by CNIPA(China National Intellectual Property Administration). As our founding team has strong business & internet backgrounds, we are able to design/develop/implement the transaction platform, the cabinets & interaction scenarios. The accelerator & constraint is money. With more investment, we could speed up our expansion. The skillful operation team could be a constraint. The estimated further investment will be 5.28mil RMB in 2021.
We believe our ShuangTi practice could be implemented in more universities & colleges both in China & worldwide. As our practice could achieve three goals as for Hygiene/for Green/for community, such goals are aligned with SDG’s Sustainable Development Goals. As the food take-out ordering becomes more and more popular, we strongly believe our recycled meal-box project could contribute more to our earth. Our school CEO & employment program could contribute more to the communities. As mentioned earlier, with estimated 75mil RMB/year investment, we could implement the recycled meal box project to 500 universities. And it could reduce the white pollution created by 270mil annual take-out orders so as to replace the 5000-ton annual white plastic pollution. We are willing to cooperate with SDG for more utilization of our system/cabinets/practices. If the implementation happens in overseas, we will provide necessary training & English version of our systems.
COVID-19 has more positive than negative effects. After CONVID-19, the universities get worried about the virus spread while dining and pay much attention to food safety. Our ShuangTi provides a smart online ordering & no-contact take-out delivery solution & effectively avoid face-to-face contacts. By using “ShuangTi”, students don’t need to go to school canteens and contacts/gathering get minimized to avoid the COVID-19 spread. However, our daily operation got impacted as many China universities got closed in 2021. As many families suffer from unemployment due to COVID-19, our “School CEO & Delivery Employment Program” provides work-study opportunities to those poor students and food delivery jobs to the unemployed to earn their living expenses and gain work skills to get better jobs.

We developed good partnership with schools. The universities benefit from our ShuangTi in effectively managing food safety & efficiently avoid contacts under COVID-19. The students who get involved in our ShuangTi operation gain work experiences in managing the take-out deliveries to our ShuangTi cabinets near the dormitory. Our practice also hire the unemployed. We use recycled meal boxes to reduce the white pollution as well.
