(

)
#SDGAction43311
    Description
    Description
    this project started with na emergency scholarship programme for Syrians in 2014. Since then more than 550 scholarships were awarded and more 70 students completed their academic degrees (PhD, MA and BA).
    Now this pilot is being scaled up and extended in order to become a Rapid Response Mechanism for higher Education in emergencies (RRM) as a systemic solution for a systemic problem since there are 35 ongoing conflict in the world that create a rising demand for higher edcuation oportunities.     Portuguese Government; 25 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and 5 in Spain; Carnegie Corporation of New York; La Caixa/BPI Foundation; Al Babtain Foundation; Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation; IOM; League of Arab States; Council of Europe;
