    Description

We are a motherhood lifestyle brand that designs and curates everyday essentials and occasion-worthy indulgences to celebrate all moms. The Emilia George® label focuses on eco-friendly processes and materials, with a personal connection to the manufacturers to ensure integrity. Our soft and breathable fabrics are made without harsh chemicals to be hypoallergenic and gentle enough for moms and babies. We bring the same thoughtfulness and care to every piece we select for our stores. From clothing to homewares and pampering indulgences, Emilia George®’s curated selections consistently innovate to combine style and functionality. Finally, moms can enjoy key pieces that also make life easier and more comfortable, all without sacrificing high quality. Emilia George® is a unique space where moms can come and relax. We pride ourselves on designing an environment that welcomes moms to take a moment for themselves, explore, and discover something new and delightful every time they step inside. In a world where moms do so much caring for others, it’s important to make them feel cared for and rejuvenated, too.

    Implementation of the Project/Activity

We are launching our own second-hand marketplace so that customers can upcycle and recycle gently-worn clothing to avoid further fashion waste. We continue to promote events and materials on conscious fashion and slow fashion, as well as sustainable fabrics, to help customers make better and informed purchase decisions. We are in the process of getting B-Corp certified.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

Our founder Elle Wang, Ph.D. is a prolific co-ed author, who has been advocating for conscious shopping and manufacturing as well as fabrics matter during her interviews and writings and she will continue to do so. Emilia George also hosts webinars and in-person events and workshops that bring together industry experts to facilitate knowledge sharing among our peers and also cross to our customers.

    Coordination mechanisms

Led by our trademarked “Fabrics Matter®”From the launch of its first product, a cloth face mask that was later donated to daycare centers around New York City, Emilia George® has always been about giving back. The brand donates to women’s charity and supports women by opening its space to motherhood-focused classes and education, from birth and lactation classes to doula sessions. The compnay has specifically advocated for “slow fashion” and revolted against mass and over production. Our teams respect “every piece of clothing should be warn” principle and works with second-hand markets and off-markets such as Otrium.com, Poshmark.com, Chicmi.com to minimize post season waste. We are also launching our own marketplace to allow customers to recycle gently-used or never-worn maternitywear back to us.
