Description
The initiative runs in 8-week cycles (3 per year). Each cycle includes: Online and offline orientation Mentorship-based training using Google Slides, PDFs, and live Zoom sessions Support with Common App, UCAS, and Canadian application processes Essay review workshops Scholarship and fee waiver application support Final application submission guidance EF Nexus leverages community learning hubs, local facilitators, and virtual tools to ensure inclusivity and cost-effectiveness.
EF Nexus offers ongoing training to volunteer mentors and facilitators. Local educators are equipped with digital teaching skills. Students are trained in using application platforms, scholarship search tools, and AI-based tools for learning. The program intends to expand partnerships with global EdTech providers for broader impact.
EF Nexus is governed by an Executive Director, supported by a core volunteer management team. The organization works in partnership with local educators, alumni mentors, and outreach hubs. Each cohort is coordinated by regional facilitators who report to the program team. Decisions are made collaboratively, and weekly progress reviews are conducted to monitor activities.
Program effectiveness is evaluated based on: Number of students reached per cohort University admissions and scholarship wins Feedback from students and mentors Pre- and post-program assessment of skills and confidence Annual impact reports are created to track growth, challenges, and outcomes.
Seeking partnerships with NGOs, universities, volunteer networks, and EdTech organizations aligned with SDG 4.
