Chefs Education towards Seafood through Sustainability Education Course

    Since its launch, Worldchefs has educated more than 14,000 chefs worldwide through its sustainability-focused culinary course. Delivered both online via Worldchefs Academy and offline by Approved Trainers, the course equips chefs with essential knowledge and skills to promote sustainable practices in professional kitchens.

    The curriculum covers globally relevant topics such as sustainability, agriculture, animal husbandry, seafood, water, energy, waste management, and nutrition. It is available in two formats: introductory (theory-only) and comprehensive.

    Worldchefs Academy offers courses in English, Arabic, and Spanish, with a fourth language currently in development to increase accessibility further. The trainers’ version, delivered by certified instructors, is available in seven languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (European), Spanish, and Turkish.

    To date, 159 chef instructors have been approved by Worldchefs to teach this course in classroom settings. Through this growing global network, the course has reached chefs in more than 50 countries.

    All materials are free and customizable, including PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, activity ideas, and detailed lesson plans. Participants earn digital badges and certificates, free of charge, through the Feed The Planet initiative—helping build a stronger, more sustainable future through culinary education.
