Having said that, the platform pays special attention to SDG 16 measurability in Africa : strong, efficient and effective institutions and peaceful societies given its strong relevance to APRM mandate on promoting good governance on the continent. The implementation methodologies are based on peer-learning notion through presentations and focused- group discussions besides an annual survey on governance mechanisms for the implementation of both agendas in Africa. Besides, knowledge management on VNR and VLR guidelines and other reports are incorporated into the Program. The follow-up mechanisms include sustaining APRM engagement at national level with African countries to ensure completion of the VNR and conveying side events on the margins of HLPF to pursue the exchange of views between African countries. The APRM takes the lead in the governance component of the platform while other partners provide financial support and expertise. for further details, kindly check https://www.aprm-au.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/RE-Endorsed-final_APRM-2022-VNR-Report_-1.pdf.
