The Division for Sustainable Development Goals, DESA, in collaboration with Argentina’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies and the Offices of the Resident Coordinators in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay, is organizing a tri-national cooperation forum for Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay focused on Strengthening cross-border cooperation for the localization of the 2030 Agenda and leaving no one behind.
The Forum, carried out with the support of the Government of Italy, will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 26-27 June 2023.
The primary objective of the Forum is to build the capacities of local government authorities and key stakeholder from the three participating countries, particularly from the cross-border Chaco region, for effective SDG localization, including through the process of preparing voluntary local reviews.
The meeting will also facilitate the sharing of lessons between the three countries and participating local authorities and strengthen cross-border collaboration, highlighting the importance of multinational approaches in Latin America.
