Mr. Chairman,
Biofuel production as an energy source is gaining popularity. In my country, the experiments have shown, that biofuels require reasonable irrigation to be economically viable. This would mean that there would be a competition for fertile lands between growing food crops and biofuels. How would land use be regulated?
Farmers would like to get best returns on their investments and would go in for the crop that is more beneficial to them
Would a certification process be put in place? How would food security be ensured, as individual farmers would do what is best for them.
