Briefly, Australia wishes to join others who believed agreement had been reached on a text that was not perfect from our point of view but was acceptable – giving its role as guidance – and are disappointed that this may be changing.
We prefer the language on “vulnerable groups” which has been accepted in other fora including Rio+20.
