United Religions Initiative Environmental Network
Description
The SDGs are addressed by member groups of our network. Together, we makeup a multi-stakeholder partnership that supports the implementation of these goals.
The United Religions Initiative has an Environmental Coordinator (Katherine Hreib), who builds relationships among diverse global actors in order to concentrate the wealth of diverse experience, knowledge and relationships to benefit a global interfaith network. The Environmental Coordinator works actively with nearly 200 member groups of the United Religions Initiative in order to build an active sub-network of environmentally-focused groups. <br />

Through bi-monthly dialogues and webinars; community created newsletters and toolkits, facilitating peer-to-peer exchanges and face-to-face meetings, partnerships with environmental and spiritually focused organizations, the Environmental Coordinator sources support and resources for the members of the Environmental Network.

The United Religions Initiative has an Environmental Coordinator (Katherine Hreib), who regularly convenes between 20 and 30 representatives from diverse grassroots groups around the world to discuss relevant environmental challenges, and solutions that we are implementing in our communities. As a group we discuss methods for supporting the larger community of environmental stewards within the United Religions Initiative and beyond. <br />
<br />
Since the larger Environmental Network of about 200 groups come from many countries, backgrounds, religious traditions, and face a variety of challenges, the group does not commit to only one goal, much like the SDGs. We recognize that our diversity is our strength, and use the diversity of our conditions and experiences to strengthen the knowledge and inspiration of our global community.
