Description
Huellas del Istmo es un reconocimiento público que concede la Universidad del Istmo para destacar la trayectoria de personas que en el ejercicio de sus profesiones contribuyen al logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible en alguno de sus 5 ejes (Personas, Planeta, Prosperidad, Paz y Alianzas). Con Huellas del Istmo se reconoce el compromiso profesional que trasciende con cambios significativos y duraderos, propiciando mayor bienestar en las personas y ayudando a lograr sociedades más inclusivas, prósperas, sostenibles, justas y cooperadoras.
Entre sus objetivos generales destacan:
1. Reconocer los logros de los profesionales que se destacan en sus respectivas áreas de desempeño y que trascienden por sus contribuciones significativas al logro del desarrollo sostenible.
2. Promover el compromiso con el desarrollo sostenible estimulado a la sociedad a seguir trabajando en pro del desarrollo sostenible, mediante las actividades laborales e iniciativas sociales que diariamente realizamos.
Entre sus objetivos específicos están:
1. Resaltar la trayectoria de profesionales comprometidos con la trascendencia de sus acciones y su impacto positivo en las personas, el planeta, la prosperidad, la paz y las alianzas.
2. Inspirar a través de historias ejemplares a la comunidad académica de la Universidad del Istmo y a la Sociedad, destacando cómo las personas pueden tener un alto compromiso con el liderazgo sostenible, como parte de su trayectoria profesional.
3. Contribuir al logro de los ODS al resaltar el compromiso individual que los profesionales ejercen en la búsqueda del bien común.
Los Premios Huellas del Istmo se componen de 5 categorías:
*COMPROMISO CON LAS PERSONAS: Profesional que se destaca por mejorar la vida de las personas, velando por la equidad y la igualdad.
*COMPROMISO CON EL PLANETA: Profesional que se destaca por sus acciones al promover la conservación y cuidado del medio ambiente.
*COMPROMISO CON LA PROSPERIDAD: Profesional que se destaca por sus acciones para garantizar el progreso económico y social, cuidando el entorno.
*COMPROMISO CON LA PAZ: Profesional que se destaca por sus acciones al promover sociedades libres, justas, igualitarias y en paz.
*COMPROMISO CON LA COOPERACIÓN: Profesional que se destaca por sus acciones al promover alianzas necesarias para alcanzar el Desarrollo Sostenible.
Cada categoría del Premio Huellas del Istmo puede otorgarse en dos (2) menciones posibles:
*A la Inspiración: Se otorga a los profesionales que tengan de 1 a 5 años de graduados de la Universidad del Istmo en cualquier nivel de formación y que hayan alcanzado valiosos logros y/o reconocimientos, que sirvan de inspiración a nuestros estudiantes, graduados y la sociedad.
*A la Excelencia: Se otorga a profesionales en general miembros de la comunidad, graduado o no de la Universidad del Istmo, con 6 o más años de trayectoria profesional, que hayan alcanzado valiosos logros profesionales y/o reconocimientos, que sirvan de ejemplo y guía a estudiantes, graduados y la sociedad.
La metodología corresponde a un ciclo de 6 meses aproximadamente, donde se definen los elementos de la convocatoria para el proceso de postulación, un acto de lanzamiento, un periodo de postulaciones, un periodo de evaluación por los jurados y un acto de premiación. Posteriormente se divulgan las historias de los ganadores y su impacto para el logro del Desarrollo Sostenible. También los ganadores reciben talleres de habilidades de comunicación para potenciar sus oportunidades como referentes de impacto.
Los ganadores de los Premios Huellas del Istmo reciben una exposición pública de sus historias, resaltándose el compromiso que tienen por el logro del desarrollo sostenible. Esta plataforma les permite generar nuevas alianzas y oportunidades para seguir siendo referentes para otros jóvenes y potenciar los proyectos que vienen trabajando.
Cada año se publican las Bases de los Premios Huellas del Istmo, al iniciar la convocatoria de la versión. En el ínterin se selecciona un grupo de 3 jurados que son quienes seleccionan a los ganadores de las 5 categorías y las 2 menciones de cada una. Luego se invita a los postulados a un Acto de Premiación donde se anuncian a los ganadores. Estos ganadores se convierten en referentes por su trayectoria profesional y el impacto que está genera para el logro del desarrollo sostenible.
El proceso de selección de cada categoría toma en cuenta los siguientes criterios de selección: Carácter: 20%; Impacto y Alcance: 40%; Proyección: 20%; y, Sostenibilidad: 20%. Luego de seleccionados los ganadores, a los 6 meses, se les consulta sobre el impacto que ha generado en sus trayectorias profesionales y compromiso con el desarrollo sostenible, el haber recibido este reconocimiento público.
