    Description
    At least by 2030 will support the local government of Timor-Leste to enhance the coastal communities for marine biodiversity conservation and to implement the Integrated Coastal Management (ICM), besides that in close coordination with the government counterparts to initiate the Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) to cover the coastal coverage areas about 10%. Initiate the practical field work (Laboratorio Vivo) under the MABIK-UNTL Joint Bio-resources Research Center (MURC) at Uaro-Ana (Atauro), Biacou (Bobonaro), and Hera (Dili) by involving students and lecturers of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Science of Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) and targeted beneficiaries of coastal communities in 3 municipalities (Atauro, Dili, and Bobonaro). And also contributing to the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) Network of Local Government in 3 pilot sites of Dili, Liquica and Manatuto Municipalities for implementing the ICM. Provide technical assistance to technical working group that being localized in Administrative Post of Barique (Manatuto Municipality) to promote sustainable marine tourism in Tok Derek Beach (Suco Uma Boco).
