The Coordinator keeps contact with UNU-IAS and RCE service Centre, coordinate with other partners organize training and demonstration workshop. Mandatory ESD Course has been implemented for all undergraduate students. KBAD—Knowledge Based Area Development a UNU Flagship project has been financing students for higher education who are receiving training from IUBAT on ESD practices and thus spreading the practices throughout the country. Health and Nutrition campaign and free medical facilities have been provided to the slum people and also to the poor.
4 ESD experts are being recruited to train the youth Volunteers and for that a RCE Youth Forum has been organized. The Volunteers participate in the YUVA (Youth Unite Volunteers Action) Meet every year and the also participate in the International and regional RCE Youth conferences and thus they learn and share their knowledge among the stakeholders and also to the partners organization.
Late Professor Eric Frank of University of Baath England has started this ESD Program at IUBAT University in 2008 with financial Support. Later on This ESD Program has been acknowledged by United Nations University Institute of Advance studies (UNU-IAS), Japan as Recognised Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) Greater Dhaka in 2011. I, Professor Dr MA Rahman am the Coordinator of the organization making coordination with other local partner organizations and also with Other International RCE Partners including UNU-IAS. One President, one Vice president one Executive Director and one treasurer.
