    Description
    Description
Kendani.com is a marketplace that makes responsible and sustainable lifestyle easy and accessible. We are creating a significant solution to SDG#12s 3 targets. This initiative is to scale up the project to reach exponential impact. SDG#12 has two sides: sustainable consumption and sustainable production. So the solution needs to have two sides too. It needs to solve the problems of Producers and Consumers. A way to encourage sustainable production is to create a trust for the responsible brands, that they will have adequate returns, even if their products will cost higher due to ethical practices. In simpler terms, if they know they can sell, they will produce sustainably. A way to encourage sustainable consumption is to eliminate the barriers for conscious consumers. At the moment the barriers are 1) Lack of information, 2) Lack of accessible alternatives and 3) Lack of affordable alternatives. (they spend too much time, at the end are unsure of the companies they find, and can't find alternatives to those companies). We have created a solution that solves the problem of both sides. On one side gives visibility and brings sales to sustainable brands, on the other side assembles all alternatives and information in one place, where conscious consumers can make a choice of their values. We first identify and analyze brands that comply with SDG#12 guidelines, and bring them together in Kendani.com marketplace making them more accessible for the general consumers, who do not want to be part of the problem. Our objective is to promote sustainable brands so far, that by 2030 all products available in the market will be environmental-impact-neutral and social-impact-positive. We have already contracted 100+ high-impact brands and this initiative is to massively scale the project. Through Kendani.com we give solutions to SDG12 3 targets. SDG12.2 - By 2030, achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources. We use SDG12.2 guidelines in identifying brands. The conditions that determine if the brand will or will not be part of the marketplace play a big role in contributing to #12.2. The more brands we find and promote the bigger the more people get involved and the more impact gets created in an upward spiral. SDG12.5 - 12.5 By 2030, substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse. For us, the focus is on PREVENTION here. Since we promote a zero-waste lifestyle and all promoted brands are sustainably packed, the more people that get involved in the platform, the less waste they create, thus preventing more plastic and other wasteful materials from entering into the system. Moreover, as many of the products on the platform are made of recycled plastic, in a way the platform users reduce the plastic in the environment. Target 12.8. By 2030, ensure that people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature. We not only carry out several educational programs but also make that education applicable by bringing the solutions closers to the final users.
    Expected Impact

Our current impact, from each 1 sale is; Save people 3 hours; Save people 12,5 Eur; Save 740 grams of plastic; Send 25 Euro to the Circular economy. Additionally, we promote sustainable brands exposing them, in 2020, to half a million potential customers. We contribute to SDG 12 goals of preventing waste, promoting sustainable use of natural resources, and creating awareness around sustainable consumption and production. As a startup, we have been able to prove the viability of the business model, measure the positive impact it generates and gain the trust of conscious consumers and sustainable brands. Our next destination (Scale-up plan) is to actually reach the masses of people, to make a real difference. Our estimated impact of the scale-up process is to reach 1 million sales in the next 3 years. Our impact Through 1 million sales of sustainable products will be - Save people 3 mill hours - Save people 12,5 mill Eur - Save 740 mill grams of plastic - Send 25 mill Euro to the Circular economy. Additionally, we will have promoted sustainable 10,000 sustainable brands exposing them, in 2020, to 100 million potential customers. This will have made a great impact in motivating other brands to employ sustainable practices, and the general public to be more aware and conscious in making purchasing decisions. We will have contributed SDG 12 goals of preventing waste, promoting sustainable use of natural resources, and creating awareness around sustainable consumption and production.
