Achievement at a glance
The Kalsom Movement able to execute all the programmes that has been planned accordingly despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The movement believed that the education is very important and therefore, all the initiatives will be continued via online platforms where all the beneficiaries was exposed to the mail pillars of The Kalsom Movement, primarily focusing on the soft skills that are in accordance with the post-school and career demands. On top of that, the movement has been listed as Top 50 for the Sustainability Award 2019 under Social Enteprise category.Challenges faced in implementation
1. Adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic; all the camps were executed through online platforms, hence, engaging and connecting with the students who faced problem with internet connection limitation is one of the challenges that the volunteers faced. \r\n\r\n2. Deliverables due to language barrier as the camps were conducted fully in English.Next Steps
1)Exposing the beneficiaries with critical issues that happening in the society \r\nThe Kalsom Movement aimed to continue the effort of supporting the beneficiaries while tracking the progress of the students. Therefore. in the upcoming year, the movement aimed to established a system and programmes that could cater the beneficiaries with different alarming global issues such as political literacy, child advocacy and environmental issues, through boot workshops. \r\n2) Creating opportunity for the beneficiaries to become a leader in their community \r\nThrough one of the initiatives, the movement aims to create a ripple effect among the beneficiaries using the top-down method. It provides a guided training ground for the beneficiaries to seize opportunities in spreading their knowledge, soft skills and gain motivational guidance from qualified facilitators. The on-going training will prep beneficiaries with the proper knowledge and skill, so they are able to help and inspire others as well to create an impact within their community.Beneficiaries
