Challenges faced in implementation
2019 was our third year with full operational capacity (3rd training session, 3rd call for proposals) for the initiative and we have learned from the precedent years. In some areas, the Objectif 2030 initiative has exceeded the level of results expected at this point. For example, one of original goal was to train 30,000 people by 2030, a number we surpassed this year alone. Coordination amongst the project's partners was improved and we have diversified our course material. Audio-visual contents were also developed to support the replication of projects, but more targeted efforts can still be made (development of practical guides, case studies…). However, funding remains an issue, especially if we want to develop new training materials or increase the financial support to CSO’s.Next Steps
Key priorities for 2020 are the organization of the new training session and the 4th call for proposals as well as the development of two new online courses (for 2021) and the capitalization of the existing projects on the basis of practical guides, case studies and audio-visual contents. Web documentaries on the new projects will also be produced in 2020 in order to develop capacity building and experience sharing as well as the scaling-up of frugal innovations.Beneficiaries
