Achievement at a glance
The POSCO Steel Village project, POSCO’s foremost social contribution activity, aims to contribute to the expansion of basic services of healthy life and safe residential space for local residents by utilizing both the steel produced by POSCO Group and the construction knowledge. POSCO began POSCO’s steel house project in 2009 to provide safe living environment for families that suffered from fire damages.Steel houses provided 50 steel houses to the recipients by applying PosMAC, a world premium product that is called the "anti-rust iron," to framework and exterior materials. In addition, a total of seven buildings were built by 2019, including two additional welfare facilities with both functional and aesthetic appearance by utilizing corrugated steel plates and high manganese flooring materials.

Actions
- strengthen the capabilities of the community and provide benefits to the majority by building public facilities, including schools, garbage disposal facilities and multi-purpose facilities- The Steel Dome ensures local students to safely enjoy outdoor activities and accommodates more than 100 people
- Steel Bridge Business ensures safe passage of the local residents and contributes to the economic vitalization through the increase in the flow of cars.
