Sol Prieto
National Director of Economy, Equality and Gender, Ministry of Economy, Argentina
Sol Prieto is the National Director of Economy, Equality and Gender in the Ministry of Economy, where she has served as team coordinator for the last two years and actively worked in the generation of key policies to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on women, such as the Emergency Family Income, and to include them in the recovery strategy. She is also a researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and a professor at University of Buenos Aires (UBA), University of San Andrés (UDESA) and University of Avellaneda (UNDAV). She holds a Phd degree in Social Sciences from UBA, a Master in Political Science from University Torcuato Di Tella and has a degree in Sociology from UBA. She is the author of more than 30 publications (including books, articles in specialized magazines, book chapters and technical reports), linked to the gender equality agenda.
