Ms. Wang Wei

Ms. WANG Wei is the Director of the Institute of Market Economy and a senior researcher at the Development Research Center (DRC) of the State Council. She has a Ph.D. in Economics from the Remin University of China. She joined the DRC in September 1996. Her research interests are on policy and regulation of the service sector, market system and mechanisms, logistics, urbanization and housing policy and consumption policy. She once worked at the Organization for Economic Corporation and Development (OECD) in 2001. She has conducted and contributed to international projects in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank on services policy from 2012 to 2015, with the Rand Corporation on transportation and logistics in 2013. She worked with OECD from 2019 to 2021 on the high-quality development of China’s service industry. She has been professor of the University of International Business and Economy since 2010.
