Dr. Izzet ARI is Head of Department of Environment and Sustainable Development at the Ministry of Development of Turkey. He received his Ph-D from Earth System Science in the international climate change policies, particularly on the new of approach for the classification of countries in the UNFCCC. He also received M.Sc. Climate Change and Policy degree from University of Sussex with Institute of Development Studies in the UK. About nine years he participates the UNFCCC negotiations on behalf of the Ministry of Development. He also follows post 2015 development regime and actively participates discussions on SDGs since Rio+20. He currently coordinates the implementation of SDGs in Turkey.
