SB60: June UN Climate Meetings

The 60th Subsidiary Bodies (SB 60) session of the UNFCCC, also known as the Bonn Climate Change Conference, was held in June 2024. This conference serves as an annual meeting for the Subsidiary Bodies to advance agreements from the previous Conference of the Parties (COP) and to prepare for the next one.
This year's conference provided the first opportunity for parties to discuss the implementation of recent calls to action and other elements of the Global Stocktake (GST) decision. Key areas of focus included the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) on climate finance, the outcomes of the First Global Stocktake, the Mitigation Work Program (MWP), and Article 6 of the Paris It also addressed other important topics, including the Global Goal on Adaptation and the Just Transition Work Programme.
The conference saw participation from 8,606 registered individuals, comprising 3,444 party delegates, 2,467 observers from non-governmental organizations, and 225 media representatives.
