The effects of climate change, including increasingly frequent and severe weather phenomena, floods and droughts, diminishing freshwater resources, desertification, land degradation and sea level rise, or threatening entire populations, depriving them of their livelihoods.

It is essential to preserve the values of multilateralism and international corporation, which underpin the United Nations charter and agenda 2030 for sustainable development in order to promote and support peace and security, development and human rights.
