Background
The Division for Sustainable Development Goals, DESA, in collaboration with the participating local governments and the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office and the United Nations Country Team (UNCT), is organizing a national multistakeholder inception workshop on voluntary local reviews (VLRs) in The Gambia. It will launch a package of activities designed to support the preparation of VLRs by three local government authorities in The Gambia. The workshop will bring together representatives of local government, stakeholders, and members of the UN Country Team. It is anticipated that the VLRs will feed into the voluntary national review (VNR) that The Gambia will present at the 2022 High-level Political Forum
