Preparatory Meeting

UN Member States requested in resolution A/RES/75/212 that the President of the General Assembly hold a one-day preparatory meeting at United Nations Headquarters in New York, to finalize the themes of the interactive dialogues and other outstanding organizational matters of the Conference, ensuring the participation of all relevant stakeholders.

The President of the 77th session hosted the one-day preparatory meeting on 25 October 2022 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The letter from the President of the General Assembly can be found here.

Stakeholder consultation on the preparation of the United Nations Conference on the Midterm Comprehensive Review of the Implementation of the Objectives of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” 2018–2028

Prior to the Preparatory Meeting of the UN 2023 Water Conference on 25 October 2022, the President of the General Assembly hosted a one-day consultation with stakeholders on 24 October 2022.
