Walk an extra mile and go beyond with Street kids in the Philippines to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all despite being a street kids. They have also the right to proper education.

    Intro

    The practice is all about walking an extra mile and go beyond with the poor street kids here in the Philippines. This is an organization purposely to help the community especially the poor children and house wives/mothers. It was founded July 29, 2012 with an initial of three kids and now it rise to a thousand and found in different places in the Philippines,

    Objective of the practice

    The objective of the practice is just very simple: TEACHING MINDS, TOUCHING HEARTS and TRANSFORMING LIVES. This best practice here in the Philippines is being replicated in different parts of the country by ensuring that the features are effective response to the SDGs/Agenda 2030 and make sure that whatever targets are being achieved by this time frame. As indicated in Goal 4 with its sub themes from 4.1 until 4.c, the organization firmly commits to accomplish them 100% despite this organization is Volunteer and just doing its Community Service oriented initiatives.

    Partners
    The key stakeholders are basically the street kids and their mothers/fathers who are willing to avail the volunteer services being initiated. The Local Government Units, Non - Governmental Organization, Civic Organization, Government Organizations, Youth Volunteers and many others who find the good practices beneficial to all, willing to contribute their money, time and effort to make sure that proper attention were given to these poor kids.
    Implementation of the Project/Activity

    Tutorial services with focus on Basic Mathematics, Communication, Values Formation, Sciences, Technology and the like are being initiated by volunteer team members. All necessary planning activities and proper ways to execute the projects just to ensure everything in place. Qualified volunteer teachers, tutors and community workers are willing to share their precious time to be with these street poor kids. The best practices are monitored by the rubrics set by the team to ensure the progress of the said best practices.

    Results/Outputs/Impacts
    The organization is always an advocate of WALK THE TALK PRINCIPLE. We practice what we preach so we see to it that everything geared towards impact including how the organization contribute to leaving no - one behind. All kids are transforming into a better and eventually best that they could showcase the 360 degrees of transformation. Through education, these kids are now becoming a useful citizens of the country.
    Enabling factors and constraints
    Financial literacy are also embedded in their formation, that is why these poor kids could be wiser and became matured in doing investment initiatives. The new ideas and innovation which brought ways of thinking that it was able to leverage successfully. Great innovations are done in these formative activities of the poor street kids.
    Sustainability and replicability
    Sustainability of the project and Resilience in all aspects are being considered. Since the best practices are all about walking an extra mile and go beyond with street kids, implications on cost/ efficiency of the best practices are greatly considered. Good plans are being conceptualized on how the practice of what we are doing here in the Philippines could be replicated on countries who have also problems regarding street kids are being pursued.
    Conclusions

    This is the key message that the best practice about walking an extra mile and go beyond with street kids here in the Philippines. The statement: "I HAVE DECIDED TO STAY IN MY COUNTRY, THE PHILIPPINES DESPITE OF MANY OPPORTUNITIES BEING OFFERED ABROAD BECAUSE OPENING THE MINDS OF THE FILIPINO CHILDREN AND TOUCHING THEIR HEARTS GIVE CONTENTMENT THAT MONEY COULD NOT BUY ".
