Description
Made Blue Foundation supports Vebego Cleaning Services in its efforts saving water while cleaning. Vebego Cleaning Services aims at saving 20 litres of water for every hour of cleaning service provided to its customers. On behalf of Vebego Cleaning Services, Made Blue Foundation makes available 20 litres of clean water to people living in developing countries: one litre for one litre.
Vebego Cleaning Services reports the number of hours of services provided over time and donates accordingly to Made Blue Foundation and based on a EUR0,30 donation needed for delivering 1,000 litres of clean water elsewhere.
Made Blue Foundation invests funds received in construction of deep wells, pipelines, public fountains, water kiosks and household connections in communities that were previously deprived from access to clean water. Additionally Made Blue Foundation ensures a proper structure for ownership and monetary savings is put in place, enabling the accumulation of funds needed for future repairs or extension of the hardware. Whenever possible the provision of clean water is being used as a basis for creating an income generating activity for the community, school or hospital, for example by collecting payments in return for water use and sales of soap, sanitary towels, toilets paper et cetera.
Made Blue Foundation is registered as a charity in The Netherlands and is governed by an independent board, non-paid. Funds donated from Vebego Cleaning Services to Made Blue Foundation are being invested in hardware that delivers a measurable amount of clean water to people that were previously deprived from access to clean water and hygiene.
Made Blue Foundation continiously monitors the performance of its investments in clean water projects. Vebego Cleaning Services continuously improves its methodology and efforts saving water while cleaning.
