Tonga Solar Power Plant

    Description
    Description
Implementing a 500 kW PV Power plant feeding around 695 MWh per year into the grid In the touristic Island of the kingdom of Tonga
    Implementation of the Project/Activity

The Project will result in reducing the cost of electricity for consumers in Vava'u and will reduce Tonga's economical dependency to oil price fluctuations. This is achieved by:

Feeding solar electricity into the grid reducing the cost of electricity to consumers, and Reducing consumption of 180,000 L/year of diesel. The Plant fullfills 13 % of the demand of the island.
