Description
FAO commits to build resilience in the food and agriculture sectors by continuing efforts on risk assessment, surveillance and early warning and emergency preparedness for harmful algal blooms, mass mortality events in aquatic populations and disease outbreaks of aquatic species and progressive management of aquaculture biosecurity as well as by limiting the emergence and spread of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) through the One Health approach. In addition, FAO will continue to provide scientific advice to develop international standards, guidance and codes of practices for the food safety of aquatic products
