Description
On one hand, to conserve and restore the marine ecosystem (mangroves and estuaries) in the bio-corridor. In this sense, awareness campaigns will be organized in order to remark the relevance of the marine ecosystem to the biodiversity and local communities.
On the other hand, the project also includes as an activity the conservation of costal marine species such as the blue crab (Cardisoma crissum) and two emblematic bird species: the Fragata (Fregata magnificens) relevant to local biodiversity; and the Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) which is a vital migratory bird for the world's biodiversity and it is also a reference for the coastal bio-corridor.
Finally, the project will also promote the ornithological tourism which allows improving the income of participating population and thus avoiding the pressure on natural marine resources of the area.
