Practical Action (2nd SE4All Forum Commitments)
Description
In our project work, we are committed to ensuring equitable access to energy technology, and advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment through our work. Exemplary of this, in Kenya, we are working with women entrepreneurs in Kenya across three renewable energy value chains (Improved Cookstoves; Solar; and Briquettes) to address barriers they face in expanding their businesses.
Moving forward, we will continue to publish our flagship, discourse setting, Poor People’s Energy Outlook, focusing next on national level pro-poor energy planning. We will also continue to work to deliver access to the poor, while partnering with the private sector to deliver poverty-alleviating, incoming-generating energy access.
