    Description
    WIPO PATENTSCOPE aims to raise awareness amongst citizens of SIDS countries of the wealth of technological information searchable via the PATENTSCOPE database in the context of facilitating transfer of knowledge and fostering development.Provides free online dissemination through PATENTSCOPE of patent data from the SIDS (some of whose data may not yet be available in the system).
    Implementation of the Project/Activity

    The collaboration is achieved through MOUs with national/regional industrial property or intellectual property offices giving WIPO the right to publish their data.

    Capacity

    Improving the intellectual property infrastructure of SIDS countries and the global visibility of their patent systems by adding their national patent information collection to PATENTSCOPE.

    Governed

    WIPO, through signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with national/regional industrial property or intellectual property offices, will make patent data of the SIDS available in PATENTSCOPE.
