The PACT for Social Transformation in the AIDS Response
Description
We have four main working groups, each chaired by one or two youth organisations, who lead our work on (1) integration of sexual and reproductive health and rights and HIV integration, including comprehensive sexuality education, (2) appropriate HIV prevention and treatment services for young people, (3) removal of legal and policy barriers to youth sexual and reproductive health and rights, and (4) adequate resources for the response and greater participation of youth in decision making. Each working group is made up of interested PACT member organisations. They coordinate regularly to share knowledge and information about what is going on at local and regional level, and collaborate on projects. <br />

Additionally, the PACT independently manages several programmes, including a large 12-country social action initiative called ACT!2030, that is coordinated by IPPF and UNAIDS and implemented through PACT member associations and other youth-led organisations globally; a partnership with UNESCO to increase youth led advocacy around comprehensive sexuality education; and #uproot, a youth-led political agenda to advance SRHR by tackling the root causes of inequality including stigma, discrimination, and restrictive laws which impact young people.
We are co-chaired by the Youth Reference Group of the MSM Global Forum and UNAIDS, and co-ordinated by Youth LEAD. We then have four individual workstreams which are led by 1-2 youth organisations, who coordinate working groups and consolidate information to report back to the co-chairs. We work using online communication platforms.
