International Anti-Bullying Campaign - The Positive Curriculum

    Description
    Description
The RISE Anti-Bullying Initiative has created a international anti-bullying awareness campaign in order to address the issues of bullying in schools globally. The campaign includes the creation of positive classroom resources, which is the first global anti-bullying program in the world (The Positive Curriculum), awareness announcements in the media of the curriculum, and meeting with international stakeholders in continents such as Africa and Australia to spread the anti-bullying message through the Positive Curriculum.
    Expected Impact

Each entity involved will be working with their community and regional stakeholders to implement The Positive Curriculum as well as monitor the progress of The Positive Curriculum through surveys, meetings with students, and the observing of the overall school environment.

    Governed

The Positive Curriculum is a set of educational resources that implement the lessons of kindness and peace in the core curriculum of the schools in subjects such as math, English, reading, and history; the Positive Curriculum also has resources for when students are in the lunch room, on the bus, or walking through the hallways in the form of posters and school exercises. The Curriculum is taught through the blending of the existing school curriculum in order to promote a seamless anti-bullying culture as well as strengthen relationships with schools and students.

The RISE Anti-Bullying Initiative has created The Positive Curriculum and will be overseeing the international implementation of it through its African and Australian partners as well as other stakeholders that will be joining. The promotion of the Curriculum will be monitored through the research of vulnerable areas, which are also known as regional areas that have issues with bullying in schools, which are recognized through international data that is in the public knowledge database. Each partner will have its own mechanism for ensuring the implementation of the Curriculum through their own stakeholder networks and relationships with governments. Every other week, the stakeholders will be meeting with The RISE Anti-Bullying Initiative to report back on their findings as well identify and monitor vulnerable areas that have a higher rate of bullying in their schools and amongst their youth. Each stakeholder will also be responsible for educating their local and regional communities on the anti-bullying message and promoting the international PSA that will air in their respective communities.
