Integrity Icon Nigeria

    Description
    Description
The goal of the campaign to name and fame honest government officials, building coalitions for integrity and inspire the next generation of public servants through:
    1. supporting networks among these officials to push for accountability within the public sector
    2. working with the offices of the icons to find ways to transform individual integrity to institutional integrity
    3. increasing reach through social and traditional media, and an integrity film fellowship for young Nigerians
    Expected Impact

The core activities of the Integrity Icon campaign are nominations, selections, filming, ceremony, voting, outreaches (youth engagement) and building coalitions. Nominations of government officials are received from all over Nigeria (Federal, State, Local government) from citizens through volunteers we have engaged around the country. After nominations, we engage a panel of judges to review the nominations already reviewed to the top 30 by our volunteers. The judges present the top 5 using the set criteria and their discretion. We also engage 5 film fellows to use visual storytelling to document the Stories of the top 5 icons, which is then used to reach out to Nigerians on social and traditional media, thereby engaging Nigerians to vote for the favourite icon through a short code. The 5 winners are celebrated in a national summit and awards ceremony, and engaged in building team integrity in various government offices through outreach programmes.
