    The Government of Oman has been sought,in collaboration with other organizations, companies and consulting firms, to exploit the level of solar energy density,being one of the highest in the world, as renewable energy source .



    Implementation of the Project/Activity

    This will be achieved through:
    1. Pilot projects for renewable energy in Oman.
    2. Renewable Energy Policy: Studying the development of renewable energy policy in collaboration with the International Organization for Renewable Energy (IRENA)
    3. Wind Atlas study in Oman: The Wind Atlas comprehensive study of the level of wind across Oman.
    4. The study of developmental research in the field of energy.
    5. Developing a strategic program for research and development of renewable energies and research capacity, This aims to: Study the feasibility of producing electricity from wind in (South of Oman).
    6. Project for energy conservation master plan in the Power Sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
    7. Feasibility study for production electricity using solar energy.
