Description
The Energy & Environment Partnership programmes have supported hundreds of innovative businesses in improving sustainable energy services and in creating green jobs in developing countries. The next programme will be launched in Myanmar in early June. Households and business companies in Dar es Salaam will benefit from more reliable electricity through a recent grid modernization project. Finnish concessional loans have facilitated the electrification of more than a thousand rural health and educational facilities in Sri Lanka, have supported rural electrification in Ghana and Vietnam as well as built transmission lines in Kenya. Kenya will also be home to the largest wind park in Sub-Saharan Africa, partially funded by Finnfund.
