Gham Power (2nd SE4All Forum Commitments)

    Description
    Description
Gham Power has developed rural microgrids and commercial off-grid solar systems in developing countries. They started in Nepal in 2010, and have deployed over 600 projects, from 200W nanogrids to ~50KW diesel-solar hybrids.
    Implementation of the Project/Activity

They have a project aggregation platform providing standard templates for technology design and financing, for off-grid projects. The organization has been building a 12MW fund leveraging this platform, and 3 rural microgrids are already funded by ADB and DOEN. After the recent deadly earthquake in Nepal, Gham has launchedthe 'Rebuild With Sun' campaign to provide solar lights and mobile phone charging stations to displaced communities and relief workers. They have also compiled a live map of incoming help requests for basic power thathey have been sharing with other solar companies and relief organizations.
