#SDGAction43351
Description
Our core implementation methodology is to foster partnership and collaboration among corporate leaders, foundations, individual philanthropists, and other philanthropic entities across the Caribbean. The Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance will be the coordinating organization. The activities will include establishing the appropriate legal framework and governance arrangements; organizing meetings, conferences and other networking events; sharing information, best practices and resources; and undertaking joint projects and programs targeted at achieving SDGs. This new multi-stakeholder collaboration will foster co-creation and building on shared interest and areas of focus to achieve more impactful SDG outcomes.
Follow up mechanisms will include annual reporting and establishing and measuring targets and benchmarks.
Governance arrangement will guided by the legal framework that will be established and appropriate structures that are inclusive and participatory.
The impact we expect is that more corporate leaders, foundations, individual philanthropists, and other philanthropic entities across the Caribbean do the following:
1. Scale up existing activities that are aligned to the SDGs;
2. Undertake new activities that are aligned to the SDGs; and/or
3. Forge more national/regional/international collaboration and partnerships that can enhance their achievement of SDG goals.
It is expected that the multi-stakeholder interlinkages created will enhance these outcomes as well as close existing gaps where they exist. This includes bringing greater awareness about the SDGs to the private and philanthropic sectors and fostering more public-private sector partnerships.
